| May 13, 2008: Hi all, the Cart Storage Committee is looking for a little extra help to sweep up the the three cart sheds this Saturday. I understand we might have a few showers around early Saturday so it would be a good chore to accomplish on a damp day. Myself and Mike Beaulieu (the cart storage committee) will be there about 9:00 a.m. and have a pretty big task for the two of us but I know we could cut it down to about 2 to 3 hours if we had just a few more hands. If you're free to lend a hand for a couple hours on Saturday a.m., we would be forever grateful. Remember, if your committee needs a hand, you know Mike is ready and willing to pitch in. OK....I could pitch in too. Thanks, Jeff H. |
|
| May 13, 2008: Course is in fantastic shape except for #1 green which we are nursing and hopeful to remove the cover within a couple days. Greens and fairways are the best I have seen in 30 years for this time of year. Come on out and check it out. Jeff also has a very good inventory in the Pro Shop for your selection. Also, making very good progress on the practice green behind #1 tee box. It is about 50% completed now. This will make a very nice addition to our course. Mike Ouellette has been the contractor and Alton McQuade assisting as the consultant we hired. No money from the operating account is being used. We are using money that was donated by members . If you care to donate to this fund, you can contact me or Sue Solman or Jeff Jose. Other members of the Putting Green committee are Graydon Ouellette, Neal Genz, Rick Solman, Ellen Corrow, Mike Gagnon and Roberta Walton. |

It is being catered by Frederick's Southside. The donation is $35.00 each and promises to be a great meal and time spent with friends. We are having this fundraiser to help put on a much needed new roof at the Country Club and also one of the cart sheds is in need of a roof. Another fund project that we are working on is the deck repair which we all enjoy utilizing. We hope to have more get togethers at the club this summer. In fact, we will be having a Turkey Fry on 6/21/08 done by David and Aniss Levesque. Should be fun!!! Mark your calendars for a happy upcoming summer..... If you would like a ticket, we have a few left, please contact me at 498-3348 and leave a message or just e-mail me and I will add you to the list. We had some great volunteers last Saturday to help clean and it really looks great. Judy Duprey |
